What a brake job at our shop involves
We start by pulling the wheels and measuring what is left of your pads and rotors, then check the calipers, brake lines and fluid. You get a straight answer about what needs replacing now, what can wait, and what it costs. After the work is done we road test the vehicle before handing back the keys.
What brake repair costs
The price depends on your vehicle and which parts are worn. Front pads on a small car are a very different job from pads and rotors on a loaded truck, so we inspect first and quote you before any work begins. If you only need pads, we will not sell you rotors.
Do not put off a grinding noise
Squealing usually means the pads are getting low. Grinding often means the pad material is gone and metal is riding on metal, which can ruin the rotors and turn a smaller repair into a bigger one. If your brakes are grinding, call us at (916) 428-9378 and we will get you looked at.
